Mission:
Welcome to the Creative Careers Leadership Lab (CCLL). Our mission is to empower high school students by, equipping them with the creative skills and leadership abilities needed to excel in the arts, media, and entertainment industries. Through work-based learning, leadership development, and real-life experiences, we prepare students for success in a dynamic workforce. Join us in unleashing your potential and shaping the next generation of creative industry leaders.
About CCLL
The CCLL is a statewide youth leadership organization dedicated to fostering creative skills and leadership in high school students. Our activities aim to strengthen local career technical student leadership organization chapters across California. CCLL offers competition and achievement programs that allow students to validate their classroom learning, demonstrate competency proficiency, and develop career and leadership skills. In collaboration with the California Department of Education's AAME sector, we provide training programs, events, and curricula to build the next generation of creative industry leaders. These include:

Impact
By providing a platform for students to develop their creative skills and leadership potential, our project aims to prepare the next generation of young professionals for the ever evolving creative workforce. Through work-based learning experiences and real-life projects, we empower students to gain confidence, develop their character, and deepen their understanding of the creative industry. Our project seeks to address the achievement gap and disparities in quality of education and industry partnerships that currently exist within the Arts, Media, and Entertainment (AME) sector. By establishing a statewide youth leadership organization, we aim to provide a level playing field for students to develop their creative skills and leadership potential, regardless of their location or socioeconomic background. Our impact will be measured by the number of students who gain access to work-based learning experiences, mentorship, and industry partnerships, and go on to pursue successful careers in the creative industry.
The impact of our project extends beyond the individual students who participate in our programs and events. By building the next generation of creative industry leaders, we aim to strengthen the creative economy of California and beyond. Our students will not only be equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce, but they will also become ambassadors for creativity and leadership in their communities. As they continue to grow and develop in their careers, they will inspire others to pursue their creative passions and contribute to a more vibrant and innovative society.
